Alexandre Martin
Originally from the Berry region of France, Chef Alexandre Martin developed a passion for fine cuisine at the age of 14. A graduate of the Jean Guéhenno Hotel School in St-Amand in France, he exercises his talents in several renowned restaurants including La Tour d'Argent, a famous Michelin starred restaurant in Paris. Passionate about traveling and eager to pursue an international career, Chef Martin flew to Canada in 1994, taking with him the experience he had acquired, an innate talent and an unwavering desire to succeed. Only 3 days after arriving in Montreal, he landed a position at Le Toqué, an award-winning restaurant known for its evolving cuisine. Determined to achieve excellence, he works for various recognized establishments including the Loews Hôtel Vogue, the Relais Château Cartier and the prestigious Hôtel du Lac Carling, where he held the position of Executive Chef from 1999 to 2001. Employed at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal hotel as executive sous chef since 2001, Chef Martin was appointed executive chef, responsible for the hotel's kitchens in 2009. Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel has 825 renovated rooms and suites, over 50,000 sq ft of meeting and banquet space, a magnificent 37th floor Club Lounge and a brand new restaurant, Stanley.
